Mon enfant apprend facilement, comme un poisson dans l’eau, avec la méthode Montessori! Pourtant, je doute fort qu’elle ait un trouble de l’attention et pourtant, à ÉMIM, c’est comme si elle n’en avait pas !!!

It’s 8 o’clock in the morning! I sanitize my hands as I enter the building. I arrive at school dressed in my school uniform. I put my outerwear in my locker and line up. My teacher will pick me up! I always walk around the school calmly.

My day starts at 8:10. I greet my homeroom teacher, show him my schedule. I am ready to start my day!

At 8:15, it’s time for the morning talk. During this time, I learn songs, listen to stories and participate in discussions and educational workshops on the monthly theme.

From 8:40 to 10:10, I am in Montessori time. I can observe others or work independently. My teachers introduce me to the materials as they come. Sometimes they take the opportunity to lead activities, such as science experiments, motor skills, art projects and more!

It’s 10:10 in the morning! It’s time to put my work away, wash my hands and have a healthy snack. It’s a good time to go to the bathroom and drink some water. I play outside with my friends. I dress appropriately for the weather.

After recess, I put my outerwear away neatly in my locker and line up in the designated area. I wash my hands before returning to work at 10:40. From 10:40 to 11:40, I work hard!

It’s 11:40am, I put my work away, wash my hands, and head down to the cafeteria. During this hour, I will eat my healthy lunch and play outside. If I’m enrolled in an after-school activity, my teacher will pick me up! At 12:40, I line up and calmly wait for my teacher to pick me up! I must wash my hands before entering the classroom.

From 12:40 to 2:40, I am back to work; I do my best and keep a positive attitude!

It is 2:40 pm! Time to put my work away, wash my hands and have a healthy snack. It’s a good time to go to the bathroom and drink water. When the weather is nice, I play outside with my friends. On cold and rainy days, I take a healthy break inside.

I wash my hands and get ready for the last hour of learning. I do different activities. I can work alone or in small groups.

At 3:45 pm, it’s time to regroup and recap the day. This is a time for us to end the day.

It is now 4pm. The school day is over! I pack my school bag and go downstairs with my teacher. My teacher takes me to the yard and makes sure I get back to my parents. I make sure to say goodbye to my teacher before I leave.

Optional-After School Daycare Services

If I am registered for homework club, I wash my hands and enjoy a healthy snack.
It is 4:15 p.m. Homework Club begins. This is the time for me to do my homework. Homework Club ends at 5:00 p.m. My parents can pick me up anytime after 5:00 p.m.
From 5:00 p.m-6:00 p.m., it is play time! This is a combination of animated activities and free play.
